Lloma was born in Whangarei, New Zealand and grew up on a dairy farm in Northland in her early years. The patterns of rural farming, hilly terrains and native vegetation have a strong place in her memoir.

Lloma undertook many art courses to satisfy her interest in making art. In printmaking she learned both intaglio and relief printing but relief printing was her first love.

She began exhibiting her work in both group and solo shows.

Lloma wanted to greatly expand her knowledge of printmaking, so in 2011, she enrolled at the Adelaide College of the Arts to do the three-year Bachelor of Visual Arts and Design. She majored in printmaking and graduated in 2014 with a High Distinction.

In 2017 Lloma enrolled at Flinders University and Adelaide College of the Arts to do her Honours year of studies. She graduated with a Distinction in the Bachelor of Creative Arts (Honours) (Visual Arts).  Her work focused on the experience of the migrant and notions of cosmopolitanism based on her own family history. During the year she diversified her work in terms of materials and its installation. These changes revealed many new potentials.

Artists who have been influential on her recent printmaking have been: Heather Shimmen (Victoria), Charlotte Massip (France) and Pierette Bloch (France).

Lloma’s specialises in linocut printing. Her work is eclectic, gathering ideas from travelling, museums, libraries, online research and galleries, as well as from observations of life about her. Her images are a combination of a range of insects, animals, humans and landscape forms as well as historic references and environmental or geographical marks.

In 2018, she was thrilled to be awarded a Helpmann Academy mentorship to work directly with accomplished Victorian artist/ printmaker Heather Shimmen.
